I’am a 65+ years old chap doing your training Intermediate Time Trail Program.
week 4, one session to go.
Male. 74.4 kg. FTP 193. Yearly medical sports test.
Last Sunday I did a MTB fun ride of only 16 km’s but with heavy storm and sometimes with heavy head wind of approx. 110km/u. My HR went to 203 BPM.
Three days later I decided to do an one hour Trainingssession of the program.
It was really an off day.
Now my question:
When you get older you need more time to recover
(certainly if you do something stupid to go up to HR 200+ BPM’s)
Is there a rule/ timeline to start a new trainingssession, in other words how many days must you wait before you do your next ride?
