Just wondering what your advice would be about training in the lead up to a race. I’m aiming for criteriums at the moment so trying to include plenty of shorter intervals alongside my longer rides. But in the build up to a race at what point should you start to drop the intensity of the training before the event in order to be fully rested.
I’ve also heard people mention ‘activation’ sessions the day before an event as a good idea. Have you any thoughts on these?
