Hello everyone. Daniel Healey here - Sports Scientist at VirtuGO. Today we are releasing a new series of training sessions. While 4 of the previous sessions remain we are adding to our library of World Tour tested workouts. From today you will see training sessions added to the Powerful, Fast and Peak categories.
For now I would like to draw your attention to that last category: Peak. It’s here where you will find training sessions that are designed to give you a great overall workout with a specific competency in mind. The three competencies we are targeting: Road Racer, Criterium Racer and Climber. These sessions have been designed with a busy lifestyle in mind so each is set for 45minutes. Trust me, you can do a lot in 45mins even with appropriate recovery intervals. You will also find some challenging training sessions in the Powerful and Fast categories including one that Michael Rogers used throughout his career.
I’ll be checking in on this group from time to time as there is a lot of background information that supports each of these training sessions. So feel free to post training specific questions here and I’ll get back to you with my answers.
Please note: we have disabled Training Program functionality; temporarily. The reason is we want to create a better user experience within the Training Program environment. We have taken onboard your early feedback on this topic and are quietly reengineering this option. But looking ahead the revised version will be more intuitive and contain more specialized content. I apologize in advance to those of you that have commenced a training program. Similarly there will be some of you that have tried some training sessions which are no longer here. I’m hopeful that you will find these new additions from todays upload even more engaging.
