Hi everybody, I enjoyed a couple of training sessions and here is my feedback:
Hardware, Software and Trainer:
-PC with Processor Intel® Core™ i7-3632QM CPU @ 2.20 Ghz 2201 MHz
- Windows Home 8.1 64 Bit
- Graphic Card Nvidia Geforce GT 650M 2GB
-High Speed Glass Fiber Internet Connection 200 MBit/s (over Wireless connection!)
-Trainer Tacx Neo Smart 2017 with Tacx Kit for ANT+ Antenna
-VirtuGo Beta 0.16.3.4; Graphic Setting as Good with 1920x1080 @59Hz
-Samsung SmartTV 32 Inches connected via HDMI port with PC
Here my Sensors setting:
Trainer+Power from TacxNeo Smart, RPM Bryton Cadence Sensor (310T), HF Bryton HF SEnsor (310T)
Here the Session Reports
Graphics issues (graphic glitches, trees grass on road, etc.)
-I had to choose “good” setting in order to get a FPS between 20 and 25; with beautiful and fantastic I had FPS between 10-15 and 5-10 respectively and therefore non acceptable graphic. I had no other software running and I set my PC on “high performance” just to avoid performance issue due to my hardware.
-even though with “good” FPS stayed between 20-25, I still experience “bumping” and the track is not running flawless…it´s like a on-off phenomen which I experienced also before and it´s not really getting better by reducing the quality of graphic. The problem is bigger by higer graphical complexity (for example in the forest or by many objects, FPS value in this case is falling down to 10-12)
-The road and the borders are good defined just by the rider; incoming road/borders are totally out of shape
-I cannot see shadows (probably due to lower graphic setting)
-the quality of other objects is fine
-i did not experience errors like trees/grass on road
-Movements of the rider are cool! Adjustment in the position on the saddle, head movements…well done!!
-Avatar RPM is somehow always the same even though real RPM is changing. Positive: avatar is stopping pedalling as I do it too… good boy
Route gradients (sudden increases/decreases in grades)
-You have improved the ERGO mode very much!!! Cool!!! Watts are very costant, no matters how RPM are. Change in intensity along the session are very good and precise. Negative: Watt-Range during low-intesity phases is set at the minimun of the range, whereas during high-intensity phases is in the middle of the range
-Unfortunately I experience a issue which I never had before: Watts fall down to 0 (see picture of session report) even though I am still pedalling with costant RPM and power. I don´t understand why…sometimes I think it´s due to change in RPM (increase/decrease and shifting), but it happens by costant RPM/Watt as well…
-I find speed setting according to Watt and RPM realistic in training mode; in free ride instead I find the speed to low and the gradient-feeling to strong with the same power…I find that these parameters are not very well coupled between training and free ride mode
-The graphich is good, but I see no improvement in the fluidity even though I reduced quality just to obtain the FPS you suggested
-View from the side and front cameras are much less fluid as from behind…FPS are reduced using this outer views
-Avatar is stopping the ride too slowly as I stop pedalling…on the other hand, the avatar get off the bike by low speed (5 km/hr) even though I am still pedalling (i just wanted to test what´s happening at low speed, dont´t worry: I am not falling asleep and yes, that is my speed as I am trying to kick the Zoncolan: I am not a specialist like @mickrogers_VGO )
-Positive: simulation is starting as you start pedalling, without count down. It is very comfortable and you don´t have to be in a hurry as with TTS4
-I am experiencing connection problems of TacxNeo sensors for the first time as a beta tester: firstly, I have to change the USB-Port of ANT+ Antenna many times before I could get increase in power/resistance (the connection is there, but power not!). Maybe it´s an issue relating to USB-Port (maybe it plays a role wheter the port is with or without AC power support?). Secondly, before starting a ride (connection panel), sensors for Power and Trainer are continuosly shifting names (from generic to tacx) and sometimes just not connecting…I have to wait so long as the connection is stable prior to starting the ride.
-Countdown should be in the middle of the screen and very big, maybe with a sound as well. I cannot read the number in white, especially wehn the windows is against the sun
-I would like to have HF and RPM displayed in the time graphic as well
-The power/time display is too small. I would like to customize that by myself during the ride by using a remote controller or keyboard
-I would like to have some alarm hints/sounds as HF/RPM drops outside the range
As a summary: ERGO mode is getting very very good; I have some concerns regarding previously unknown connection issues; graphic still stays the same.
Keep going on with your fantastic job @mickrogers_VGO @CMech @virtugo !! Your assistance, speed and contact with the beta users is gorgeous!!! Thank you very much!!
