I’ve done a few of the capacity training sessions recently such as 3x1min capacity, 3x2min capacity etc. I’m having trouble keeping my power in any way consistent as the trainer turns off Erg mode and matches the gradient of the course. Unfortunately the capacity intervals almost always coincide with the final climb and descent on pulseville so it is virtually impossible to maintain a steady power when the gradient switches between +4% and -4% etc.
Just wondering if there are any settings that I can change in order to help with this or is it just something to live with for now? Was wondering if it would be a good idea to have the session switch to a constant gradient of something like 2%, in the same way that the power profile tests do, for the duration of these efforts?
